LibreCAD – Dimensions

 

All lines are drawn with a default layer 0.

Dimensioning is the primary function of all CAD programs. In LibreCad, all dimensioning functions are found in the CAD ToolBar under the button .

Access to the dimension menu is also available from the main menu (Doniesions tab).

Shows the real distance between the points indicate

  Shows the linear dimension at the indicated angle between two points. We enter the value of the angle in the top menu on the right

Shows the horizontal dimension between the points indicated (along the x axis of the coordinate system)

Shows the vertical dimension between the points indicated (along the y axis of the coordinate system)

Shows the radius of the indicated circle or arc

Shows the diameter of the indicated circle or arc

Shows the angular dimension between the indicated lines

Creates a sign for a surface or edge. Pressing the ESC key leaves the creation of this element

Each dimension allows you to enter a label (such as a diameter mark) and deviations. The toolbar is located at the top of the screen.

Dimension options

1 – Enable / disable the label, 2 – Enter text (instead of dimension value), 3 – Mark combobox , 4 – Enter the deviations

In main menu Edit Current drawing preferences Dimensions tab allows you to edit font size, linear precision, arrow size etc. There is always the possibility of customizing the dimension by exploding it (by prior selection) in the main menu Modify Explode

In all functions where points are indicated we can do this by using the command line by entering the points coordinates.
